The Process
RealSpace utilizes ortho-corrected imagery, contour data, and architectural plans and details and packages them into a standalone executable file or website for a user to then start interacting with right away. There is no need to learn new software or learn how to create an optimized real-time presentation. This is all done for you by RealSpace. The final executable file or website is tailored to your specific project and only includes the features you require for your presentation. We work with you to create the user interface and the specific features you require. We can even program new features for specific projects. Everything is customizable.
The raw data can be created by Buildmedia and Precision Aerial Surveys or provided by you for use within RealSpace.
Precision Aerial Surveys utilize Socet Set for creating and editing high resolution terrain and surface models, using the Next Generation Automatic Terrain Extraction (NGATE). NGATE can produce lidar quality terrain models from optical imagery and has been shown to reduce editing time by more than 30%.
The Digital Terrain Model (DTM) is generated by an automatic height extraction method and edited to your needs. It is highly accurate for precision planning and monitoring purposes and it provides a foundation for applying topographical data or ortho photos over the surface model.
Utilizing this data provided by Precision Aerial Surveys or by the client, a basic real-time model can be created in days. This basic RealSpace model consists of the terrain data (DTM and Ortho imagery) and display of geodetic co-ordinates, with a north arrow for situational awareness. From this model we can start to add further detail and information.
Working closely with you, Buildmedia can produce an accurate “better than real” 3d digital model of your infrastructure or architectural development. This 3d model can then be used to communicate the key features and benefits of your product in a number of different ways within RealSpace.
Buildmedia use their industry experience and variety of software solutions to create accurate optimized 3D models for use in RealSpace. This means that the final RealSpace executable file or Realspace web link is optimized to run efficiently on any late model Windows based computer and can be used straight away with no need to learn any new software. All of this saves you time and money.
